Ace Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has revealed plans to commence production of his first movie in 2020 titled Citation, and like his previous works the project is set to feature a mix of fresh talents and veteran acts.
The producer who also doubles as an actor is set to work with Temi Otedola, daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, on the new movie which centres on a young lady and how she navigates her way with a lecturer who tries to molest her for grades.
During a press conference that held in Lagos on Thursday, January 9, Afolayan opened up on why he cast Otedola as the lead character in the new project.
Afolayan said: “Whenever I scroll through her social media pages, I used to wonder at how energetic and enterprising she is. Then, when I saw her on a CNN programme, her talent seeped through and I knew I would like to work with her. Here we are now."
