An emergency meeting has reportedly been called by Queen Elizabeth of England following the decision by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to step down from the royal family.
According to Yahoo News, the meeting will take place on Monday, January 13, at Sandringham in Norfolk, the Queen's country home.
Legit.ng gathers that report indicated that Prince William, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles will be present during the meeting, while Markle will join the conversation via phone from Canada.
Recall that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently announced their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family, a decision that has caused controversy at the palace.
A source said: “Following a series of meetings and consultations across the last few days, there is a range of possibilities for the family to review which take into account the thinking the Sussexes outlined earlier in the week."
According to the source, the next steps that will be taken by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be agreed at the meeting.
The source added: "The request for this to be resolved ‘at pace’ is still Her Majesty’s wish. The aim remains days not weeks. There is genuine agreement and understanding that any decision will take time to be implemented."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering relocating to Canada, a close confidant of the couple identified as Tom Bradby disclosed.
Bradby said he did not ask the couple what their plans were, adding that were are a million possibilities of the couple relocating to Canada.
