The minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, has said that the perpetrators of the killing in Plateau and Kogi states will be apprehended and prosecuted.
Dingyadi condemning the recent attacks in the two states which claimed the lives of innocent Nigerians within one week commiserated with the government and people of the Kogi and Plateau states over the dastardly attack.
Describing the attack as highly reprehensible Dingyadi said that those responsible for these heinous crimes will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
He also said that the Police and other security agencies are investigating the attacks with the view to unravelling its root cause and apprehend those responsible accordingly.
A statement by the press secretary to the minister, Osaigbovo Ehisienmen, said Dingyadi also reassured Nigerians of the ministry's commitment, to work assiduously with relevant stakeholders to retool policing architecture in Nigeria.
Ehisienmen said such effort will culminate in more Police visibilities, Police community partnership and deepening the intelligence and technological base of Nigeria Police Force to enable it to realize its full potentials.
"Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi assures that the Nigeria Police Trust Fund Bill which will take effect in the year 2020 will in no small measure assist in bridging infrastructural gaps for a more proactive Policing in Nigeria," Ehisienmen said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello on Thursday, January 9 received a delegation of the leaders of Tawari, the community recently attacked by bandits in the state.
The governor also sympathised with the Tawari people by visiting the community assured them of the timely distribution of relief materials to victims of the attack by some unknown gunmen on Thursday, January.
