Popular Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, has been nominated for a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Award (NAACP) alongside other international artistes.
The singer has become the first Nigerian artiste to be honoured with the nomination for his hard work and talent.
Wizkid was nominated for Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration for his collaboration with Beyonce on her Brown Skin Girl single.

Brown Skin Girl had Blue Ivy, Saint JHN, and Wizkid. Brown Skin Girl was nominated alongside other songs like No Guidance by Chris Brown, Say So by PJ Morton feat Jojo, Shea Butter Baby by Ari Lennox feat J.Cole and Show Me Love by Alicia Keys feat Miguel.
The NAACP Image Award is given to honour outstanding performances in film, television, music, and literature.
