Gov Okowa, Saraki salutes Tambuwal as Sokoto governor clocks 54

Delta governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated his Sokoto state counterpart, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, as he turns 54 years on Friday, January 10, stating that he is a politician to look out for in the future.

Okowa, in a statement by his chief press secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, extolled Tambuwal for his tremendous contributions and outstanding accomplishments in the service of his state and country.

According to him, the sterling contributions of Tambuwal to the development of Sokoto state and Nigeria are legendary and worthy of commendation.

“Your selfless and impressive political and developmental achievements in office has placed your name on the sands of time as an emerging nationalist and a man to look out for in the future political development of our country.

“In the contemporary politics of Nigeria, Tambuwal has become a household name as an emerging nationalist,” Okowa said.

Former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki also felicitated with Tambuwal via social media describing him as a good friend.

Saraki stated that Tambuwal has been a blessing to his home state of Sokoto and Nigeria as a country.

Meanwhile, Governor Tambuwal, on Friday, January 10, ordered the immediate commencement of the implementation of the N30,000 new minimum wage to workers in Sokoto state.

The governor ordered that the implementation of the new wage to the civil servants should start with the January 2020 salary paid to them and asked for immediate verification of the workers so as to clear the workforce of ghost workers.
