Premier League table-toppers Liverpool are reportedly planning to make a move for Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze in a deal around £34 million.

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations bronze-winning winger has been superb for his Spanish League side Villarreal since he broke into the team in 2018.

French League giants Lyon are also said to have shown interest in signing the Nigerian football star who made 2019 Kopa Trophy top ten chart.

According to Daily Mail, the Yellow Submarines are not ready to allow their man to leave unless they get the right price for him.

Chukwueze's release clause in his current deal with the La Liga side is £53.5 million but they are likely to accept £34m.

The 20-year-old has scored three goals in 18 appearances for the club this campaign as he could become the Reds second signing this month.

Jurgen Klopp's side already completed the signing of Takumi Minamino from Red Bull Salzburg in a deal around £7.25 million.

Chukwueze plays on the right flank for Villarreal, and his arrival at Anfield would spark up competition for Xherdan Shaqiri as the deputy to Salah on the flank.
