Cristiano Ronaldo is playing the leadership role to his club teammate Matthijs De Ligt after losing his place in Juventus starting XI.
The promising Netherlands international has now fallen from the pecking order in the Biaconeri's back-four after failing to live up to expectation.

The 20-year-old made a big summer money move from Ajax for £68million and Ronaldo played a part in landing the center-back.
But De Ligt has been kept on the bench by Sarri in the last five matches with Merih Demiral given the nod to pair with Leonardo Bonnucci.
After the injury to club captain Chiellini, De Ligt has played 23 matches for the Italian champions but Sarri is still not convinced with his performance.
Sarri said: "Playing 23 games after Chiellini's injury, learning a new foreign language and adapting to the fast pace of Serie A is not easy for De Ligt.
"He is now resting and recovering from an injury."
Spanish giants Barcelona are now reportedly offering the youngster an escape root to join them in the January window.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo might not be exchanging his shirt with a Roma player this weekend when they square off with Juventus.
The 34-year-old has had a long-standing feud with the Giallorossi since his playing days with Premier League side Manchester United.
