Buhari congratulates Nigerian bank MD Adeduntan on international award

- President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Adesola Adeduntu, a Nigerian bank director, for the great award he received from the UK

- The president said that the recognition is a win for all professionals in the country

- It should be noted that Adeduntan is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Banking of Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Adesola Adeduntan, the managing director of one of Nigeria’s new generation banks for receiving the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award.

The award was given to him by the Cranfield School of Management, United Kingdom. In a statement signed by Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the president, the honour was seen as recognition of all Nigerian professionals.

Buhari is also of the opinion that the endorsement is something that Nigerians ought to be proud of.

Adeduntan is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Banking of Nigeria.

"The fact that Cranfield School of Management is giving Adeduntan the award because he 'exemplifies the values of the school,' and serves as 'role model to students and potential students,' President Buhari believes, is an endorsement that should make every Nigerian proud," the statement read.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), was in Imo state to inspect the Regions Stroke and Neuroscience Hospital in Imo state.

The hospital was set up by Dr Benjamin Anyanwu, a US-based neurosurgeon. It is the first one in the country and offers intensive care for people with neurological disorders.

The NIDCOM boss said that the initiative will help increase medical tourism in the country.
