- Mzansi rapper, Rouge, decided she wants to aim for big things in 2020
- The rapper zoomed in on a collab with American rap icon, Missy Elliott
- Using social media, Rouge approached Missy to make a move in the right direction
There's no denying that social media can connect people and make impressive things happen. We have seen it happen in South Africa when Maphorisa had to make a song after getting 50,000 retweets.
This led to Mzansi getting the banger, Phoyisa, and even got Cassper Nyovest to collab, all thanks to social media.
Rapper Rouge knows about the power of social media and decided to use it to make a bold move in her career.
Legit.ng gathered that she used her Twitter account to reach out to US rap icon Missy Elliott for a collaboration.
Rouge asked Missy how many retweets she needed for a verse, and added a cute smiling emoji to sweeten the message.
Now, it's (hopefully) just a matter of waiting for Missy to reply and Rouge's fans to start retweeting.
Rouge knows her value and isn't scared to claim the credit she feels she deserves. It was earlier gathered that the muso claimed that she was the best female in the game.
She also made it clear that she is not here for unprofessional MCs who pronounce her name wrong or hype another artist before introducing her to perform.
The star took to her Twitter account to let all MCs know that they need to put some respect on her name.
The Dololo hit-maker said she will not step onto the stage if MCs commit any of the aforementioned faux pas.
