- Arturo Vidal has emerged as Manchester United's winter transfer target in January
- Reports claim the Premier League club is already in talks with the midfielder's agent
- The 32-year-old has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan to reunite with his former boss Conte
Arturo Vidal, Barcelona star, has emerged as transfer target for Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks to boost his collapsing midfield in the January market.
Vidal has gradually fallen down the pecking order with the Spanish champions after suing the club over unpaid bonuses.
It is understood the Chilean midfielder is frustrated at Barcelona and claimed earlier in the season he would retrace his steps in December.
The former Bayern Munich star has made nine appearances in La Liga this term but have only managed three starts out of those matches.
Inter Milan were leading in the race for the 32-year-old midfielder but it seems Man United have taken a sudden lead since the January market opened.
According to UK Sun, United are looking to wrap up a deal worth £17 million for the star due to their injury crisis in midfield.
Both Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay have been reduced to bench due to injury and there is no certainty on the Frenchman whose Man United future was recently hit by controversy.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated emphatically that he can never manage Manchester United claiming that he would rather play golf than go to Old Trafford.
Pep Guardiola has been handling Manchester City since 2016 and the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona gaffer has won the Premier League title twice together with FA and EFL Cup.
