The village of Bila-Amboldar in Chibok local government area of Borno state was thrown into mourning on Friday, January 3, as Boko Haram insurgents launched an attack that claimed three lives.
According to Daily Trust, the insurgents also looted dozens of bicycles and set houses on fire.
Legit.ng gathers that a resident of the village named Mana Bila said the insurgents carted away more than 20 motorcycles and other valuables during the attack.
Yakubu Nkenki, the leader of Chibok Girls’ Parents Association urged the federal government to do more to protect soft targets who have become the focus of the Boko Haram insurgents.

He also called on the members of the to cooperate with the military to ensure the terrorists are flushed out.
Meanwhile, some other suspected Boko Haram insurgents on the night of Monday, January 6, ambushed the convoy of the theatre commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major Gen. Olusegun Adeniyi.
General Adeniyi survived the attack which took place a few kilometres away from Jakana around 7.20 pm.
A military source said the theatre commander was on his way back to Maiduguri after a visit to troops who were recently deployed to Jakana.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) took its fight against insurgency to Sambisa forest and killed a lot of Boko Haram terrorists.
Air Commodore Ibukunle Daramola, the NAF's director of public relations and information, who revealed this on Saturday, January 4, said that the feat was carried out through the help of the force's Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Lafiya Dole around Bula Bello.

He said: “Accordingly, the ATF scrambled its attack aircraft to engage the location neutralising some of the terrorists. Follow-on attacks were also carried out to take out some locations within Bula Bello where the BHTs were tracked to."
