- Jose Mourinho has been urged to sign Chelsea star Willian this month

- The Brazilian attacker's current deal will expire at the end of this season

- Mourinho might reunite with his former player before the end of the transfer window

Tottenham Hotspur Jose Mourinho has reportedly been urged to sign Chelsea star Willian during the winter transfer window.

The 31-year-old forward was initially bound to join Spurs after leaving Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013, but the Blues cornered the deal for about £30 million.

Daily Star reports that the Brazilian forward insisted that he would have joined Spurs if the Chelsea deal fail to pull through.

Meanwhile, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes would be a good addition to Mourinho's present squad.

I wouldn’t care about what he has said about Spurs in the past, look at what Mourinho has said about Spurs in the past," Robinson told Football Insider.

If Willian became available, he is a top-quality player and if there is anyway Mourinho could convince him to come to Spurs, he’d be a brilliant addition.

I think he’d fit into the squad perfectly as he’s a top-class player and you know what’s gone on in the past is irrelevant. “If he performs in a Tottenham shirt, there won’t be a problem.
