Man arrested by police for same crime he went to jail for in 2017

- A young Nigerian man has set social media abuzz following his arrest by the police

- The individual was nabbed for the same crime he went to jail for in 2017

- Reacting, several Nigerians noted that the young man was not rehabilitated during his jail time

A young Nigerian man identified as Tunde Ajeigbe is currently topping the trending topics on micro blogging platform, Twitter, following his arrest by police officers.

In a tweet sighted by on the official page of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), it was gathered that Ajeigbe was arrested in 2017 for robbery and went to jail for the crime.

However, following his release in November 2019, the young man got arrested in December 2019 for the same crime he went to jail for.

Confirming reports of Ajeigbe’s arrest, Tunde Disu, deputy commissioner of police, said: "Tunde Ajeigbe arrested in 2017 for phone snatching by RRS riders has been re-arrested for same crime after 3 yrs in prison.He was arrested after a hot chase into a bush, his 2 other colleagues escaped abandoning their operational Bike.Hes been transferred to the State CID."
