Premier League champions Manchester City have qualified for the next round of the 2019 English FA Cup after beating lower side Port Vale 4-1 in the third round on Saturday, January 4.
Port Vale traveled to the Etihad stadium with five-game unbeaten record, but they found it difficult to continue with their form against Manchester City who are the holders of the FA Cup.
Manchester City scored the first goal in the 19th minute through Oleksandr Zinchenko who benefited from an excellent assist by Sergio Aguero.
The visitors however restored parity in the 35th minute via a powerful header through 34-year-old center forward John Pope who was assisted by Christian Montano.
But Argentina international Sergio Aguero made sure Manchester City took the lead to the dressing room for the first half after he scored in the 42nd minute.
Taylor Harwood-Bellis netted the third goal for Manchester City in the 58th minute to the delight of manager Pep Guardiola before Phil Foden scored the fourth in the 76th minute.
Manchester City eventually won the match 4-1 at the Etihad stadium.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Pep Guardiola made it clear that he will quit Manchester City if he does not meet the set target for him this season at the Etihad.
