Zlatan Ibrahimovic got off and running as he marked his return to AC Milan with a bang, scoring one and assisting another in their 9-0 win over Rhodense.

The 38-year-old headed to the San Siro on a six-month deal with an option to sign a year further after eight years away from the club.

Ibrahimovic had his third spell with the Rossoneri between 2010 and 2012 and helped them clinch their Serie A title.

The Swedish legend who was handed the No.21 jersey on the day of his unveiling scored one and created another before he was replaced by Krzysztof Piatek.

Milan manager Stefano Pioli fielded a strong XI in the first half but changed the entire squad at the break with Ibrahimovic showing no sign of rustiness.

Ibrahimovic, who left LA Galaxy in November after 52 goals in 56 games could be handed a place in the starting line up against Sampdoria at the San Siro.

Milan are currently topping the bottom half of the table with 21 points from 17 matches in the topflight division this season.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Victor Osimhen is being considered by Real Madrid for a possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the January transfer window.
