Coachella 2020: Seun Kuti only Nigerian artiste on lineup

Popular Nigerian musician and son of late Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti, is the only Nigerian on the 2020 edition of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

It should be noted that the popular musician will be performing with members of the Egypt ’80 band, a group created by his late father, Fela Kuti.

Just a year ago, two Nigerian artistes, Burna Boy and Mr Eazi, were on the lineup of the 2019 edition of the event.

Seun shared the news of the invitation on his Instagram page, recalling the last time he was there.

Rage Against the Machine, Travis Scot, Frank Ocean will headline this year's edition, while other artistes like Calvin Harris, Big Sean, Lewis Capaldi, 21 Savage, Lana Del Rey and Lil Nas X, among others will perform.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that with just a few days into the new year, it appeared that Nigerian celebrities are fully gearing up to give their fans and followers full doses of social media drama for 2020.

Tekno had on his official Instagram shared a video addressing his followers on the platform as he broadcast a goodwill message to usher them into the New Year.

On the international entertainment scene, legendary American rapper, Ludacris, and his family became citizens of Gabon.

In a video shared on his Instagram on Thursday, January 2, he said he is very grateful for the honour.

The rapper and his whole family got the Gabonese citizenship on Thursday, January 2, during their trip to the African country. It should be noted that Ludacris and his family had also visited Ghana for the Year of Return.
