Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker continues to rake in more accolades for himself after an impressive form in 2019.

The Brazilian helped the Reds clinch the UEFA Champions League title last campaign following their victory over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

And he has clinched virtually all the individual awards in the goalkeeping department in the outgone year.

He has now been crowned the best Brazilian player in Europe after winning the 2019 Samba Gold Award.

The goalkeeper joined the Merseyside outfit in a £66.8 million deal from Italian League side AS Roma and he became an instant hit for the club.

Alisson's efforts almost earned them their first Premier League title in over three decades but the eventual champions Manchester City edged them to the glory with just one point.

Despite failing to win the trophy, his performance did not go unnoticed as he carted away the EPL golden glove award after keeping 21 clean sheets in 38 English topflight appearances.

He beats countryman Ederson Moraes, who finished with 20 clean sheets, Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga and Everton's Jordan Pickford recorded 14 clean sheets apiece.

The Liverpool star also won 'The Best FIFA Goalkeeper' award after beating Marc-André ter Stegen of Barcelona and Man City's Ederson in that order.

He won the Copa America Golden Gloves after helping Brazil win the South American title which was staged on home soil in the summer of 2019.

According to information on Liverpool's official website, Alisson won the Samba Gold Award for his exploits last year - winning 35.54 percent of the final vote.

He polled more votes than Roberto Firmino who finished second, while Paris Saint Germain defender Thiago Silva ended up in third with 10% of the vote. earlier reported that Real Madrid have met representatives of Liverpool striker Sadio Mane over a possible January transfer move to the Bernabeu.

The Senegal international has become one of the best strikers in the world at Liverpool helping the club to win the Champions League title last season.
