Two rival gangs in prison played a friendly match on New Year's Day and it resulted in sorrow, tears and blood.
Two of the most powerful rival drug cartel, the Gulf and Zeta Cartel arranged a friendly game in Zacatecas at the Cieneguillas jail in north Mexico, which housed 1,000 inmates.
The group were originally in one accord before splitting and going into factions in 2002.

According to the Daily Mail, trouble started when a there was a dirty tackle inside the penalty area which resulted into serious chaos.
Things went out control, tempers flared and shooting began leaving fifteen people dead before another victim passing away in the hospital.
Public Security Minister Ismael Camberos Hernandez, confirmed to Reuters that five people were seriously injured in the gun-shot exchanges.
Visitors had to be evacuated as police and soldiers were on ground for over two hours to break the violence, 20 ambulances were also called to the scene.
Camberos claims four-arms were seized following the bloody incident as well as 17 knives, three pairs of scissors and 77 bags of Indian hemp.
