- Nigerian fashionista and celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani’s son recently celebrated his birthday
- Oluwatenola recently clocked six and his mother made the occasion an unforgettable one for him
- Toyin made her son sell fruits in Lagos as she taught him valuable life lessons
Many times, children who are born to fortunate parents do not understand what suffering is and cannot relate to the plight of others who are needy.
Seeing as these kids have never known suffering, it might not make them compassionate in future to those who live in penury.
Nigerian fashion entrepreneur and celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani’s son, Oluwatenola, clocked a year older and his mother used the opportunity to teach him a valuable life lesson.
Tenola clocked six and he alongside his mother took to the streets of Lagos to sell fruits to unsuspecting customers for the birthday photo-shoot.
According to Lawani in her lengthy Instagram caption, she wanted her son to walk in the shoes of the less for a day just to make him understand that life is not always rosy.
Lawani explained further that parents who are fortunate must teach their kids not to look down on anyone because they are more privileged.
Excerpts from her post reads: “For my sons 6th Birthday shoot I made him walk in the shoes of the less for a day , we sold fruits to people and hawked in traffic , few people recognized us but didn’t care ,I even tried selling to them ,will post a video later and he learnt a lot from it, He didn’t stop asking me Questions when we got home ,anytime we drive past kids and I give them money ,he’s always saying why this, why that. Now he understands.”

Just recently, Legit.ng reported that Toyin Lawani recently blasted trolls and those who criticise her kids on social media.
Just recently, a video had gone viral of her son, Tenor, joking about killing any other son his mother has and some Nigerians took offence to it and slammed the stylist for how she has raises her son.
In response to the attack, Lawani posted a five minutes video on her page where she lambasted those haters who come for her kids. According to her, kids are off-limits.
