Former US first lady, Michelle Obama, has for the second consecutive time being named the most admired woman in the world in a survey conducted in the US.
Michelle is named the “most admired woman” in the world for the second year in a row. Even while in the White House, she had more popularity rating than her husband, Barack Obama, was the president as at that time. This time around, she surpassed the current US president, Donald Trump, and his first lady, Melania Trump, in the 2019 Gallup’s annual poll.
The poll had a random sample of 1,025 Americans being asked to name, "in an open-ended fashion, which man and woman living anywhere in the world they admire most."
The 55-year-old Michelle took 10% of the votes. She was followed by Melania Trump who gained five percent in the poll while Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, and Greta Thunberg all got three percent of the votes each.
In a similar way, former US president, Barack Obama, and the current president, Donald Trump, were tied for the title of most admired man in the 2019 Gallup poll.
Recall Legit.ng reported that Michelle was voted as the most admired woman worldwide in a poll earlier conducted by YouGov in July 2019, coming higher than the Queen of England. She was followed by Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Queen Elizabeth II, and Emma Watson.
The YouGov poll compiled lists of 20 women and 20 men by gathering open-ended nomination from 41 countries.
