A former vice president of the United States of America and aspirant in 2020 presidential race of the country, Joe Biden, has said the incumbent Donald Trump would be defeated at the polls.

Biden made this bold prediction on Tuesday, December 31, just a few hours before the New Year rolled in.

Biden, who was vice president to immediate past American president, Barack Obama, expressed confidence that 2020 would be the year President Trump is sent packing from the White House's Oval Office.

Legit.ng reported on Tuesday, December 31 that Biden, a Democrat, said he would consider a Republican as his running mate in the November 2020 race.

Responding to questions on Monday, December 30, in Exeter, New Hampshire, on his choice for who will become the second citizen of the country if he emerges as president, Biden implied that he is open-minded in that regard.

Biden said: "The answer is I would, but I can't think of one now," Biden replied. "Let me explain that. You know there are some really decent Republicans that are out there still..."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng also reported that despite being impeached by the US House of Representatives, President Trump's influence among the American citizens has continued to grow stronger.

In Gallup's 2019 survey, Trump tied with former president Barack Obama as America's most admired man in 2019.

The survey showed that 18% of the US voters nominated Trump as the man ‘living today in any part of the world’ that they admired most while another 18% of voters also voted former president Obama for the coveted honour.
