Crystal Palace have made it it clear that they are not interested in selling Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha who is wanted by Premier League side Chelsea.
Chelsea's transfer ban has been lifted which means the Blues can now sign some players this month as Frank Lampard gears up to bolster his squad.
The Blues have been looking for the signature of Zaha for the past two seasons and they are ready to try their luck again.
But Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has stated emphatically that Wilfried Zaha is going no where than to stay at the club.
"Basically, I don't need assurances, we aren't trying to sell Wilfried Zaha.
"We want to keep Wilfried Zaha. What assurances can people give? I know no-one at the club is anxious to sell Wilfried Zaha,'' Hodgson explained according to UK Sun.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have plan B should they fail to get Wilfried Zaha as the Blues are also monitoring Jadon Sancho and he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are currently occupying fourth position on the Premier League standings with 35 points after 20 games, while Crystal Palace occupy ninth on the table.
