Music is an art that does not recognise boundaries or discriminates because people listen to diverse music and still enjoy them even without being from where the song is from.
Nigerian musicians in recent times have been gaining grounds as they are recognized internationally and have also achieved great feats.
Just recently, the former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, took to social media to share a list of his favourite songs from the year 2019.
Interestingly two songs from Nigerian artistes made the list to the joy of fans on social media. Grammy nominated singer, Burna Boy’s track titled Anybody as well as Mavin fast-rising star, Rema’s Iron Man, made the cut for Obama.
Sharing the list, Obama accompanied it with a caption that reads: “From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”
