Apapa-Oshodi road will be one of the best in Africa when completed - Dangote

Nigeria's billionaire business mogul, Aliko Dangote, has given an assurance that the Oshodi Oworonshoki expressway which is currently under reconstruction will be one of the best roads in Africa when completed.

Channels TV reports that Aliko said this when he went on an inspection tour of the road project which is being handled by Dangote Group.

He said the construction work is going on day and night, adding there is the need to complete the project on time to address the gridlock around the Apapa port.

The business mogul recalled that two of his companies lost over N25billion to gridlock between 2017 and 2018.

Also speaking during the inspection tour, the minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, said the reconstruction will be completed within two years as scheduled.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) described the multi-billion naira Dangote refinery and petrochemicals sited in Lagos as a pride to Nigeria and Africa.

Eleven Nigerian governors recently toured the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals in Lekki, Lagos to have on the spot assessment of the massive project.

The governors were led by their chairman, governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, on a visit to the site of the multi-billion naira project.
