Police protect us - Wizkid says as policeman who allegedly killed his fan is arrested

- Wizkid has called for justice after it was reported that a police officer shot one his fans dead

- Rapper Ruggedman had taken to his social media page to reported that a police officer shot one of Wizkid's fans dead

- The rapper reported that the policeman identified as Lukmon Akanbi had shot Wizkid's fan dead in cold blood

- It was gathered that the fan was on his way back home from Wizkid's concert, which took place on Thursday, December 26

Nigerian singer Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has reacted to the sad story of a fan identified as Ramon Babatunde Adeniji, who was shot dead by a policeman on his way back home from Wizkid's concert.

Wizkid's StarBoyFest had taken place on Thursday, December 26, and Adeniji was said to be on his way home when he was allegedly shot dead by a policeman identified as, Lukmon Akanbi, on Friday, December 27.

According to rapper Ruggedman, who shared the story on his Instagram page, the policeman has been arrested and he is now facing murder charges. He said the commissioner of police Lagos state, Hakeem Odumosu, ordered his arrest.

Ruggedman also reported that the man has now been discharged from the police force.

On hearing the sad news, Wizkid reacted and called for justice. The singer said the Nigerian police should protect not kill us.

Wizkid also apologised to his fans, stating that he is broken about the incident.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had sadly reported that an upcoming Nigerian comedian reportedly lost his life after he was hit by a stray bullet. Sharing the heartbreaking news, a close friend claimed that the shots were fired at an end of the year party by some drunk police officers. The individual called for justice on behalf of his deceased friend.
