- The sun shined on Lynette Baio, a waitress in Florida, when help came her way, putting a stop to her financial troubles
- A couple, who are her customers, surprised Lynette with a $2000 (N732,000) tip when they learnt she spent the same amount on car repairs and couldn't buy her family Christmas gifts
- With the gift, she was not only able to buy the presents, but she also said she looks forward to blessing someone else like it was done to her
Lynette Baio, a waitress in Florida, received a big boost in her finances when a couple gave her $2000 (N732,000) as tip on Tuesday, December 24, Christmas Eve.
Before the blessing happened, Lynette had spent all her savings of the same sum to repair her car and had no money to buy gifts for her family for Christmas, Daily Mail reports.
She spoke about her car repair setback during a conversation with her regular customers some weeks ago before the surprising event.
After listening to her plight, which she casually slipped into the conversation, the couple came back on Christmas eve and gave her the tip.
They accompanied the tip with a message which read: “Merry Christmas and restore your savings. God bless you.”
It should be noted that it would take Lynette around six weeks to make $2000 (N732,000) in tips from customers.
In her interview with the media, she explained how the whole happening was very emotional for her as she cried.
“They started to walk out and I picked it up and I was like, ‘What?’ and I started crying and he started crying and she starting crying and it was just totally amazing. It's a Christmas miracle to me,” she said.
She said the tip helped her emotionally and she looked forward to a day when she is going to do the same for somebody.
"I'm gonna honour their words and I'm going to pay it forward someday and I'm going to let God bless me enough to do it,” she said.
