Josh Maja could be making a return to England to play in the English topflight division after having a brief spell with Sunderland.
According journalist Ignazio Genuardi, Premier League side Everton have been monitoring the one-capped Nigerian international who plies his trade for Bordeaux.
Genuardi claims Everton officials were on ground to watch the Super Eagles striker during Bordeaux's 1-0 loss to Strasbourg on 17 December.

And it is understood that a move to Goodison Park could pull through for the 20-year-old because he shares the same agent with international teammate Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman.
The former Sunderland striker scored an emphatic hat-trick in his club's 6-0 win over Nîmes Olympique on 3 December, making him the only Nigerian to score a hat-trick this season.
Reports also claim another Premier League giant Chelsea are also interested in bringing the Nigerian to west London.
Maja who had youth spells with Crystal Palace, Fulham and Manchester City made his debut for Nigeria in the international friendly against Ukraine.
