Ganduje reportedly rated as the best performing APC governor

- According to Anwar, the assessment was done by APC’s Progressive Governors’ Forum and released through a letter by the forum's DG

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has been rated as the best in terms of initiating and executing developmental projects by the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s Progressive Governors’ Forum.

Daily Trust reports that Ganduje's chief press secretary, Abba Anwar, said the governor topped the list of the forum’s assessment for three consecutive months of September, October and November.

According to Anwar, the forum disclosed in a letter that there was an “all-round increase in the pattern of initiatives introduced by the APC-led states."

He said Kano, according to the letter recorded the most initiatives, with 18 strides, for the month of September.

Legit.ng gathers that the letter indicated that Yobe has 14 strides, Borno followed with 13, while Ogun, Lagos, Kaduna, Edo and Gombe states have 12 each.

Ekiti has 11 strides, Nassarawa has nine, Katsina and Kebbi states get seven each, Kwara and Osun with six each.

Niger state has five strides, Ondo state has four while Kogi and Plateau states have three strides each.

Some of the reasons Kano topped the list, according to the letter, included that government's initiatives on health, youth empowerment, education, electricity project, and so on.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a committee headed by Nigeria's former military head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.), had been set up to intervene and put an end to the lingering crisis between Governor Ganduje and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
