Eric Cantona: Ex-Man United club slams club's poor EPL run

- Eric Cantona has berated Manchester United over poor Premier League run

- The former France international expressed his disgust at Red Devils' playing pattern

- United occupy eighth position on the EPL log with just 25 points in 18 games so far this season

Former France international, Eric Cantona, has aimed a subtle jibe at Manchester United while likening the club's torrid run in EPL to an "old man having se'x."

Cantona's soft criticism trailed Red Devils' poor run in the Premier League, capped by a recent disgraceful 2-0 defeat to relegation-threatened side Watford during the last weekend.

Man United still struggle for consistency under their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the team plunged into a turbulent time following clusters of lacklustre performances.

United presently occupy eighth position on the EPL log with just 25 points in 18 games so far this season.

A couple of wins which included victory over Manchester City and Tottenham seemed to have marked the club's breakthrough and resurgence.

However, a sudden slump against Watford means Reds are yet to be back to their beautiful best, with the club's legend Cantona expressing his utter disappointment on the current Man United squad.

The Frenchman, who spent five years at Old Trafford and won four Premier League trophies, berated the club under the Norwegian manager with a metaphor of an old man engaging in love-making.

"Manchester United occupies a special place in my heart but watching United play now, it's a bit like making love as an old man," Cantona said.

"You try as hard as you can, but at the end of the day, everyone is a bit disappointed."

Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, Man United have struggled to replicate their brilliance under the legendary manager.
