- Man United are exploring the option of offloading both Rojo and Matic in January

Manchester United chief executive, Ed Woodward, has reportedly informed Nemanja Matic and Marcos Rojo they will be offloaded when the January transfer window opens.

The United duo has endured a difficult spell under club boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has limited them to just six Premier League appearances between them this season.

According to a Metro UK report citing Daily Star, Solskjaer has made it clear to the two players they are not part of his long-term plans.

Ed Woodward is now understood to be ready to sanction the departure of the pair ahead of the January window.

Matic, who arrived at Old Trafford from Chelsea two years ago impressed in his early months at the Theatre of Dreams.

However, the Serbian is currently deemed surplus, having fallen behind youngster Scott McTominay and Fred in the pecking order.

Rojo, on the other hand signed for £16million in 2014, and has not featured under Solskjaer for over a month, with a move abroad now the likeliest scenario.
