Nigeria international Victor Osimhen scored for Lille on Saturday night, December 21, in their heavy 5-1 defeat against Monaco in the Ligue 1 encounter.
The 20-year-old Super Eagles star showed that he is a reliable striker after scoring despite just returning from the hospital.
He complained of dizziness and chest pains immediately after he scored Lille’s first goal against Monaco and was rushed to the medical center where he was treated.
That encounter was in the quarterfinal of the League Cup, and Lille won the tie 3-0.
And when they met again in the Ligue 1 game, Monaco revenged their defeat.
Victor Osimhen scored the opener in this match in the 13th minute of play after receiving a brilliant pass from Jonathan Ikone.
But after they conceded, Monaco came out smoking and scored five goals through Ben Yedder who scored a brace, Martin’s Balde and Glim also scored a goal each.
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen and his teammates at Lille are occupying fourth position on the Ligue 1 standings with 31 points after 19 games.

The 20-year-old put the Great Danes in front just 19 minutes into the game with a cool finish from close range as the hosts' goalkeeper Danijel Subasic was left with no option of saving the ball.
