The cleric said that one of the key ways to effect the desired change so as to bring back the church's lost glory and position is by changing the mentality of its leadership, a move he described as 'pastoral change'.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a famous Italian journalist, Eugenio Scalfari, has claimed that the pope once told him that Jesus Christ died but did not resurrect bodily.

Scalfari, who revealed this in his new book, The One God and Modern Society, said that the Pope told him this in an interview he conducted for the cleric.

Quoting the Catholic church's cleric, the journalist said: “He was a man until he was placed in the tomb by the women who recomposed his body.

"That night, in the tomb, the man disappeared and from that cave he came out in the semblance of a spirit that met the women and the Apostles while still preserving the shadow of the person, and then he definitively disappeared.”
