President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, December 20, inaugurated the newly acquired police operational/combat vehicles, and Nigeria Police National Command and Control Headquarters.
The president also inaugurated the Police Crime and Incident Database Centre in Abuja, a brief statement on the Facebook page of the Nigeria Police Force has announced.
President Buhari commended the force for investing in technologies to combat crimes and improve the country's security level.
The president also promised to support the security agency to procure additional assets to enhance the country's security.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Adamu Mohammed, and top officers of the law enforcement agency recently met in Abuja.
The meeting was reportedly convened to deliberate and strategise on the country's insecurity, especially ahead of the festive season - Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The meeting was held at the IGP’s conference room at the force headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city and was attended by police commissioners in the 36 states of the country.
The police commissioner in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and members of the IGP management team, deputy inspectors-general and assistant inspectors-general were also in attendance at the meeting.
