- The female rapper has been at the top of her game for a while now
- She had some words of advice to share with other female rappers backstage
Nicki Minaj received the Game-Changer award at the 'Billboard Women in Music' event held recently.
The female rapper was applauded for paying tribute to Juice Wrld during her acceptance speech.
While backstage, the Anaconda hit-maker shared some pearls of wisdom for other female rappers.
“I find that when there’s a lot of chaos or when I’m confused about who I am or feeling low or confused, taking time away to not be around other people and just get yourself focused, I think that’s always great,” Nicki told Billboard.
Nicki continued: “Your peace is the most important thing and knowing you’re beautiful and knowing you’re great is extremely important. You shouldn’t need anyone to tell you that; you should just know it and feel it every single day.”
Nicki went on to say that she is proud of every single new female rapper out there because she knows it is not easy.
She said: "Everyone that has just come into the game, I’m proud of you guys ’cause it’s not easy and I know that. So keep on doing your thing.”
Nicki said she would love to see more talent and less politics in the rap game.
