The smart move of a 4-year-old girl has saved the life of her mother. Isla Glaser immediately called 911 when she saw her mummy lying unconscious on the kitchen floor.
Daily Mail reports that Isla dialled the emergency number when the incident happened on Friday, December 6, telling the person at the end of the line “My mommy fell down and can’t talk!”.
Isla would later explain that her mother had been fighting fever and that her father has gone to work. At the moment the incident happened, only her two-year-old sister and one-year-old twin brothers were at home.
After the call, officers had to rush down to Isla's home with medics saying that the girl’s swift action may have saved the woman’s life.
The mother, on her hospital bed, later explained what caused the fever, saying she just started her chemotherapy and has been sick all week.
"I started chemotherapy again last week and my body has had a hard time adjusting to it. I've been sick all week and just run down, but today it felt different,” she said.
Isla's mother also recalled the moments leading to her passing out, saying she had just gone to measure her temperature.
“At some point while we were eating breakfast, I got up to take my temperature (101.5), and my next thought was to call my doctor. However, the next thing I remember was feeling really dizzy and then I passed out,” she added.
