- According to the funny man, Nigerian singer, Naira Marley has the strongest fan base in the country

- Owen Gee then recounted how he spotted some fans kissing the singer’s picture on a poster

Fan bases are the bedrock of most celebrities as they cease to be relevant or exist if they are not loved or noticed by fans.

In Nigeria for instance, there are a number of celebs who have strong fan bases and they do not cease to amaze others with the way they support and even idolize their favourite stars.

Recently, Nigerian comedian, Owen Gee, took to social media via his Twitter page to share his peculiar discovery about celebrity fan bases in Nigeria.

According to Owen Gee, Nigerian singer, Naira Marley undoubtedly has the strongest fan base in the country. He then recounted how he saw the singer’s fans going around kissing his banners ahead of his show.

He wrote: “Naira Marley @officialnairam1 is currently the Nigerian artiste with the strongest fan Base, I saw members of his NO BELT gang going around kissing his banners for his 30th December show,they kissed it like it was really Marley, hmm this MARLIAN movement is not a joke.”

Recall that Naira Marley became even more of a viral sensation after he was arrested by the EFCC for his alleged involvement on issues bordering on cybercrime.

Interestingly, his arrest was made on the singer's birthday shortly after he released his street banger, Am I A Yahoo Boy?

Naira Marley is no stranger to controversy and he recently reacted to reported that he had been rearrested for car and phone theft. The singer said some people were trying hard to tarnish his image and asked if he should show off all his luxury rides.
