P&ID: EFCC secures court's order to arrest British national, Adam Quinn

- The EFCC is to arrest a British citizen, Adam Quinn, over charges of money laundering

- The approval to arrest Quinn was given by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, December 18

- Quinn is linked to the Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) contract scam

The Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Okon Abang on Wednesday, December 18, ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest Adam Quinn, a British national.

Quinn, a director at Goidel Resources Limited, has been mentioned in many charges bordering on money laundering alongside another British man, James Richard Nolan.

Both Quinn and Nolan are said to be linked to the controversial Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) gas processing and utilization contract scam.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that legal documents were being prepared by the federal government to enable it to confiscate assets of P&ID in Nigeria.

The development was made public by the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed when he appeared with agencies under his ministry’s supervision to defend 2020 budget before the Senate committee on the information.

He said: “I am aware that the AGF is also working on registering the judgment in which the Nigerian court ordered the winding up of P&ID Nigeria.

“The important thing about it is that when this judgment is registered, it, therefore, means that whatever belongs to P&ID now becomes the property of Nigeria.

“I am also aware that we are also working on instituting an action to set aside the entire award of $9.6bn on the grounds that the award did not take into cognizance, the fraud involved in the entire process.”
