Barcelona vs Real Madrid ended in a 0-0 draw at the Camp Nou as Ernesto Valverde's side maintain top spot in La Liga.

The match was highly entertaining as the Camp Nou but either side failed to produced goal as it ended in a stalemate.

Isco flicked the ball through the legs of Gerard Pique as Benzema shot straight into the hands of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen in the first real chance of the match.

Casemiro headed from a short-corner and it was cleared off the line by Gerard Pique in the 17th minute and the Brazilian also shot from range minutes later but was saved by Ter Stergen.

Valverde was also asking questions as he tried his luck for distance but went just off target.

Jordi Alba should have made it 1-0 after arriving just in time to tap in from a Lionel Messi's cross but the ball went just wide.

Ter Stegen was there once again to stop Valverde shot as the first half ended goalless with Real creating most of the chances.

Gareth Bale had his opportunity in the 67th minute after a Valverde's counter attacking move fell kindly for the Welshman who hit the side-netting.

Bale then scored minutes later which was ruled out by the VAR after Mendy who provided the assist was caught offside.

The match ended in a goalless draw as Barcelona remain on top of the league table ahead of their rivals.
