According to the former lawmaker, claims that most capital projects of the President Buhari-led administration are focused in the south should also be addressed

A former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has appealed with president Muhammadu Buhari to address Nigerians over growing concerns among citizens in the country.

Sani said some concerns raised by a quarter of the country that appointment within the present administration is populated by the northerners should be addressed by the president.

He said that claims that most capital projects of the President Buhari-led administration are focused in the south should also be addressed.

Since the assumption of duty by President Buhari in 2015 when he first won the election and started appointed heads of parastatals across the country, many Nigerians have raised there concerns over the breach of the federal character principle in these employments.

These Nigerians argued that the president had focused appointment of director generals of agencies, service chiefs among many others to the north leaving out other regions of the country.

Also, pertaining capital projects like road constructions, there have also been issues that most of the roads like the repairs of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the attempt at completing the East-West Raod and its likes only favoured the south.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that President Buhari appointed nine new permanent secretaries on Wednesday, December 4.
