Some Arts students of the Plateau State University (PLASU) Bokkos were on Monday, December 16, attacked and raped by unknown gunmen who stormed the school when they were in theatre carrying out production.

Daily Trust reports that after the attack, the assailants also robbed the students of their properties, such as laptops.

According to an eyewitness of the tragedy, students feel very unsafe as the ugly incident has struck fear in them.

On his part, John Agam, the public relations officer, of the school said he will release a statement on the development after being briefed by the security body in the institution.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that it was a black day for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) as it announced on Tuesday, December 17, that armed men attacked and killed two of its officers who were on patrol along the Lokoja-Okene road.

Another officer of the agency was said to have been injured in the attack. Confirming the attack in a statement, Lomba Benjamin, spokesperson of the NCS command in Niger state, lamented the incident.

According to him, those killed have been identified as S Ohiremen, an Assistant Superintendents of Customs (ASC) and SM Omale, a Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC).

The officer that was injured was also identified as HI Oladapo. Benjamin said the injured officer was taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lokoja, Kogi state for treatment.
