- Jack generously sacrificed his own first-class flight seat for an 88-year-old woman
- The elderly woman had always dreamed of sitting in the 1st-class seat
A Vir*gin Atlantic flight to New York became a memorable experience for an 88-year-old woman as her life-long dream was finally realised.
Through the years, she had always wanted to experience the joys of flying first-class, but her budget could not accommodate the goal.
All of that changed when a young man generously offered up his own first-class seat on the flight in exchange for her economy class ticket.
Flight attendant, Leah Amy, was made aware of the noble gesture aboard her flight and was blown away by the man's generosity.
The kind man, known as Jack, happily sacrificed the perks of first-class to be seated near the toilets in the economy section.
The elderly woman, known as Violet, was smiling from ear-to-ear when Jack made the generous offer.
Leah then took it upon herself to share the story via Facebook and it quickly went viral.
The New Zealand Herald reported that Jack and Violet had an instant connection when they started at the airport while waiting for their flight to depart.
Legit.ng gathers that Violet was travelling to visit her daughter in New York.
However, her daughter refused to believe Violet's good luck and insisted that she take a selfie to prove where she was seated.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a group of people were a source of blessing to a waitress, Angelica, at an IHOP restaurant in New Jersey, giving her a $1,200 (N435,000) tip.
One of the people who showed the rare act of kindness, Zellie Thomas, shared the pictures they took with the waitress on Saturday, December 14.
Thomas explained how he and 11 other friends of his brought $100 (N36,250) each to the restaurant with the plan that they would gather and give them to the waitress.
