Cristiano Ronaldo shows humility by handing captain’s armband to Matuidi in Udinese win
Cristiano Ronaldo's rare show of humility and respect was fully captured on Sunday evening, December 15, when Juventus took on Udinese in a tough Serie A tie that ended in 3-1 victory for the Old Lady.
The Portuguese showed his predatory instinct with his first-half double that comes in the space of 40 minutes making difference as Juve got back to the top of the table.
Leonardo Bonucci was also on target with a fine header before Udinese got a cheeky consolation through Pussetto's clinical finish.
And the former Real Madrid star showed some sensitive modicums of respect when he refused to put on the captain's armband after being given to him by Gonzalo Higuain who was subbed in the 75th minute.
Instead, the 34-year-old star gave the armband to teammate Blaise Matuidi being one of the senior players on the pitch.
Ronaldo then helped the former PSG ace to tie it, marking show respect from the Portugal captain and former Manchester United star.
Coincidentally, he would later make history as he becomes the only player in Europe's top five leagues to hit double digits for 15 consecutive seasons following his first half brace in the game.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo stated emphatically that he would love to face his former club Real Madrid in the final of the 2019/20 Champions League.
This comes after his club qualified for the knock out stages of the Champions League as leaders in Group D finishing with 16 points.
Before Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid for a move to Juventus, the Portuguese helped Los Blancos win the 2017/18 Champions League title beating Liverpool in the final.
