Apostle Suleman, Reno Omokri call for boycott of Netflix app over 'gay Jesus' movie

- Nigerian author Reno Omokri and popular cleric Apostle Suleman have called for the boycott of popular movie streaming app, Netflix

- This comes after a movie portraying Jesus as a gay man was featured on the platform

- According to both individuals, Nigerians and Christians around the world should delete their Netflix app

Social media was recently set abuzz after popular movie streaming app Netflix announced the release of a Brazilian movie titled The First Temptation of Jesus.

The 46-minute comedy flick sparked outrage, following its portrayal of Jesus Christ as a closeted gay man.

A lot of Christian faithful were enraged by the film, thereby causing them to call for the immediate removal of the film from the video streaming app.

Also reacting to the movie, Nigerian author Reno Omokri charged Christians to delete the app, cancel their subscription, if they truly have love for Christ.

Popular religious cleric, Apostle Suleman, pointed out that the movie is evil and as such cannot be allowed to hold ground. He stated that the release of the film is a disrespect to Christianity and an abuse to the sensibilities of people practising the religion.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Omokri attempted to explain how Yeshua and not Jesus is the son of God. The author explained how the name Jesus has been widely accepted by many and not Yeshua. He also defended why he believes Yeshua is not God but rather, the only way to God.
