Support your husbands in securing Nigerians,CP urges police wives

- Police wives have been urged to support their husbands in securing Nigerians

- They were urged to make the job of security easier for their husbands

- According to Olukolu, women had greater roles to play in national development

The Oyo state commissioner of police, Shina Olukolu, has advised members of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) to always support their husbands in the task of providing security for Nigerians.

Olukolu gave the advice at the end-of-the-year get-together of the association on Sunday in Ibadan.

The police commissioner, who said women had greater roles to play in national development, urged POWA members to continue to make the job of security easier for their husbands.

He commended the leaders and members of the association for their contributions to the Nigeria Police Force.

Olukolu further encouraged members of the association to be more united in order to enhance peaceful coexistence.

In her remark, the acting Chairperson of the association, Prince Adeoti Ekokotu, pledged the commitment and support of members to their husbands in order to properly secure the country.

She commended the state police commissioner for his constant support for the association.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that some officials of the police command in Lagos on Friday, December 13, arrested one of the suspects linked to the murder of the wife of the managing director of MaerskLine in the state, Gildas Tohouo.

The suspect, Akande Adeyinka, was sighted by a policeman while he was hiding on a mango tree during search operation.

The operation was led by the police commissioner in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, personally beamed his searchlight on Adeyinka on the tree and arrested him.
