Both teams went into the break with a 0-0 scoreline as Frank Lampard's side are still looking for their first win in their last three Premier League matches.

Bournemouth was the better side in the opening exchanges as Joshua King missed a golden opportunity to put the Cherries 1-0 up at Stamford Bridge.

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale made a double save that kept out Abraham as both sides remained scoreless for most part of the game.

With six minutes left to play, Gosling pounced on a not properly cleared corner to head past Kepa Arizzabalaga to make it 1-0 after a long look at the VAR.

And that proved to be the match-winner as Bournemouth held on to seal the win after losing five straight Premier League matches.
