Akande Adeyinka: Police arrest killer of MaerskLine MD’s wife on mango tree
- One of the suspected killers of the wife of the managing director of MaerskLine in the state, Gildas Tohouo, has been arrested by policemen
- The suspect, Akande Adeyinka, was tracked and arrested while he was hiding on a mango tree to escape from security officials

Some officials of the police command in Lagos on Friday, December 13, arrested one of the suspects linked to the murder of the wife of the managing director of MaerskLine in the state, Gildas Tohouo.
The suspect, Akande Adeyinka, was sighted by a policeman while he was hiding on a mango tree during search operation.
The operation was led by the police commissioner in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, personally beamed his searchlight on Adeyinka on the tree and arrested him.
A police source said that the insistence of Odumosu was very instrumental to the arrest of the suspect.

The source said: “The CP was on patrol when he received the distress call and he swiftly moved to the scene, where he mobilized the divisional police officer { DPO and the Area Commander in the area.
“It was an effective and timely operation. Those boys would have escaped if the CP had not gone there himself. They were hiding and no one would have thought that somebody was on the tree.”
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Tohouo was on attacked by some gunmen in his Ikoyi residence on Sunday, December 8.
Tohouo's wife was killed by the gunmen during the attack. Sources said that gunmen who were allegedly led in by an electrician who is a domestic worker for the MD planned the attack.
Both Tohouo and his wife are foreigners living in Nigeria. While the Tohouo is from Cameroon, his late wife was from Bulgaria.
It was also gathered that during the attack, Tohouo and his wife were locked in a separate room as the gunmen forced Mrs Tohouo to transfer some money from her account to theirs before forcing her to drink a substance suspected to be acid.
