Chelsea captain Willian is reportedly on the verge of extending his stay at Stamford Bridge beyond next summer.

The Brazilian's current deal with the Blues expires at the end of the ongoing season which makes him eligible to talk to other clubs from next month.

Meanwhile, the attacker has appealed to his current boss Frank Lampard after some eye-catching performances this season.

SunSport reports that Juventus have shown interest in landing the 31-year-old on a free transfer in a bid to add depth to their squad.

It would be recalled that Willian won Europa League title with Maurizio Sarri, and he could reunite with his former boss next summer.

Barcelona are also believed to renew their bid to land the forward whose deal expires at the end of this season.

However, Real Madrid want to raid the Blues for the Brazilian having earlier signed Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois in the past months.

The Chelsea number ten will prefer to remain at the Stamford Bridge after the club decided to open talks over a lucrative new deal.

He told Yahoo: "I’ve stated several times my wish is to stay at Chelsea. I like the club very much. I feel very welcome here, as well as my family, and we love living in London.

"However, I’m in the middle of the season and I try not to think about it, not to lose focus on the pitch. "My agent and the club are talking and I hope we can have some good news soon.

"In transfer windows, it’s normal to have proposals and speculation, especially for players who are at the end of the contract. “But my focus is 100 percent on Chelsea and the season.”

The 39-year-old was a joy to watch when he was in Barcelona - winning two La Liga titles and a Champions League in his five-year reign.
