Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly banned his players from attending the Christmas festive party so they can concentrate on the Premier League.
The reigning Premier League champions are now 14 points behind leaders and rival Liverpool on the standings and Guardiola is keen to avoid a repeat of the slump that followed last season's festive bash.
Recently, Manchester City started a tradition of holding an annual Christmas party for all employees including the first-team squad.
But after last year's celebration, Manchester City were beaten 3-2 at home by Crystal Palace and also lost against Leicester City four days later.

Manager Pep Guardiola feared that the late-night party affected his players and he does not want such to repeat itself this season.
Manchester City face a busy December and January including 11 games in a five-week period.
According to the report by Goal, there are talks that City chiefs are monitoring Mauricio Pochettino in case Pep Guardiola should decide to leave the Etihad stadium.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admitted that he is opened to managing a Serie A club after his reign in England.
The Spaniard's current deal with the Premier League champions expires in the summer of 2021 having joined them in 2016.
He has led the Citizens to back to back EPL triumphs while winning other domestic titles for the club.
