Ansu Fati became the youngest Champions League goalscorer at the age of 17 years and 40 days old following his match-winner against Inter Milan.

The youngster unleashed a shot from outside of the 18-yard box after playing a one-two with Luis Suarez which beat Samir Handanovic in goal.

Fati's goal dumped the Italian side out of the elite competition after two of their goals were disallowed due to an offside call by the referee's assistant.

The Spanish star has now scored three goals this season in all competitions as he put his name in world football map.

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi scored his first Champions League goal at the age of 18 in the club's 5-0 victory over Panathinaikos in 2 November, 2005.

Former La Blaugrana striker Bojan Kirkic also scored his first Champions League for the club at the age of 17 and 217 days. He is also the first player born in 90's to score in the elite competition.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Inter Milan vs Barcelona ended 2-1 in favour of the Spanish giants as Antonio Conte's side crashed out of the Champions League.

Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets were rested for the fixture as the Spanish champions had already qualified for the next round prior to the match.
