Yomi Black replies Toke Makinwa after media personality called him out on IG

- The back and forth between celebrities Toke Makinwa and Yomi Black is far from over

- Black recently reacted to a post in which Makinwa had dragged him for filth

- According to the filmmaker, the real intention of his initial post was misconstrued

Popular Nigerian celebrities Toke Makinwa and Yomi Black, recently gave their fans a cause for concern, after they both dragged each other on social media.

The drama had all started after Black reacted to Makinwa’s agreement with a post that tagged Nigerians as hypocritical for hailing Cardi B, while berating their own celebrities for the same things the international rapper did, during her visit to Nigeria.

Makinwa, in turn, called out her former friend who had charged her to reveal the source of her luxury lifestyle, and went as far as sharing screenshots of their private conversations.

Well, Black has now reacted to the media personality’s post. He noted that Makinwa simply fell for a trap set up by bloggers, adding that the true intentions of his initial post were misconstrued.

The filmmaker went on to talk about the nature of friendship and work relationship that had taken place between him and Makinwa in the past.

"The truth is Toke and I go way back, because of our friendship, we have done a few projects in the past. As a young entrepreneur, you have to leverage your friends when you are growing.

All of those projects benefited both of us in many ways, I remember at least one that benefitted us financially (a YouTube video campaign for Chicken republic in 2013). I also remember that I did a series of photoshoots for her to launch her Vlogs on YouTube," the post read in part.

On a final note, Black noted that he does not take offense to Makinwa’s backlash. He, however, noted that he wished she made use of the opportunity to truly tell the world what she does to afford such a luxurious lifestyle.
